How many people do you want to serve?



Most single layered cakes are about 3 inches tall. The size calculation is based on a 2 inch slice. If most of your guests are young children, you should be able to cut the slice smaller, and get more servings out of the cake. If it is a wedding party, normally the servers will cut to bite size, which will double your number of servings.
